The Sunday market

The Market at Harbourside is held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the Intracoastal at Harbourside Place. Harbourside describes it as a curated waterfront marketplace of local makers and artisans: handmade goods, specialty foods, art, apparel, wellness finds and home goods. On Mother’s Day that makes it a gift market and a morning out in one.

Shopping

The Gardens Mall, 3101 PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, about six miles south, lists Sunday hours of noon to 6 p.m. and says individual store and restaurant hours may vary. It had not posted Mother’s Day hours or events when we checked.

Ideas for the day

  • Climb the lighthouse. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, 500 Captain Armour’s Way, posts tours, including sunrise and sunset climbs, on its calendar. Climbers must be at least 48 inches tall.
  • A walk in Riverbend Park. Riverbend Park, 9060 Indiantown Road, is a Palm Beach County park with nearly 10 miles of shell-rock trails and 5 miles of waterways. More on our parks and trails guide and walking and biking trails.
  • The beach. Jupiter’s beach parks are listed on free things to do.

The weekend before: the town’s Turtle Trot

The town’s Turtle Trot 5K is a flat out-and-back race along the beach on A1A from Ocean Cay Park, with a kids’ fun run at 7:10 a.m. and the 5K at 7:30 a.m. It is capped at 600 runners and has no race-day registration. For 2026, registration opened Feb. 1 and packet pickup was May 1. The town lists the 2027 race as to be announced.
